1] 16 GAGE STEEL OR 18 GAGE STAINLESS STEEL ONLY.
2] . Kitchen hood & exhaust to comply with IMC 506,507,508 & NFPA 96
3] All exhausts to terminate outside of the building. Pressure equalization is required for all exhaust systems (see IMC 501.3).
4] Grease ducts serving type I hoods shall be constructed of steel having a minimum 16 gage or stainless steel not less than 18 gage.
5] Mech. installation to comply with the current Frisco amendments (08-01-11 of the IMC & IECC). 2hr shaft of wrap.
6] A written description of the requested inspection or a representative of the contractor, along with the approved blueprints, will be present at the job site for all inspections.
7] Inspections to be requested are:
i} Mech Rough Insp.-This inspection is required prior to wrapping rigid duct. Equipment service clearances and F/S dampers will be checked at this time.
ii} Above Ceiling Insp.-Must pass Fire Marshall Sprinkler insp. prior to calling this insp. Duct insulation, exhaust systems, drains, flues, etc., along with any electrical, firewalls, or any construction that will be covered by the ceiling will be checked at this time.
iii) Mech. Final Insp.-Interior and exterior totally trimmed out, gas & elec. meters set, and all equipment is operable. All equipment must be labeled for location served and cross labeled in elec. panel with same ID number.
8] Any mechanical equipment mounted on roof shall comply with the screening ordinance Article 4 section 11.09 (D). Line of sight is 6’ above grade at property line.
